Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin was pretty upset with how Beyonce introduced Tina Turner at the Grammy Awards. Beyonce called her idol “The Queen” which had possibly disturbed Aretha since she had always been known as “The Queen of Soul”. Aretha called the introduction as a “cheap shot for controversy”.

English singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse bagged three major awards (Best New Artist, record of the Year, and Song of the Year) at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards. She also performed “You Know I’m No Good” and “Rehab” live via satellite from London since her visa approval came too late for her to go to the U.S.

For the first time, six-time Grammy winner Tina Turner and Beyonce will perform a duet for a special segment of this year’s Grammy’s. Beyonce had proclaimed Tina as her long-time idol and has paid tribute to the legendary singer with a performance at the 2005 Kennedy Center Honors. The 50th Annual Grammy Awards will be aired live on CBS this Sunday.

The season was regarded as a return to form for the series; its ratings increased as viewers tuned in for comfort following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. It won the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2002, the first in that category for the series.

Snoop Dogg is an unwanted man in the United Kingdom.

According to Britain’s Border Agency, it would appeal a court’s decision to reverse a decision in banning Snoop from entering the country. The ban was decided upon after he and his thirty-man entourage started a fight in Heathrow Airport last April 2006.

The fight began because Snoop’s group wanted to go to the first class lounge. Unfortunately not every one was holding first-class tickets. It erupted into a fight, with seven officers injured. All the offenders spent a night in jail, and banned from ever entering a British Airways plane again.
